Abstract submission is now open!

Abstract submission for FAOPS 2020 in Tokyo will be opening on Apr 1 (Wed). The organizing committee look forward to receiving your submissions.

All abstracts must be submitted through the online submission system, on or before the abstract deadline date of May 28 (Thu). All presenting authors must be registered and paid for the PREBIC AA 2020.

  • After the submission deadline abstracts cannot be modified or corrected
  • Only Co-authors may replace a Presenting Author

  • May 28(Thu), 2020: the abstract submission and presenting author registration
  • June 2020: Notification of acceptance or rejection

To ensure your abstract is submitted correctly you must read the abstract submission guidelines below.
All abstracts to be considered for the PREBIC AA 2020 scientific program must be submitted on or before the abstract deadline date of May 28(Thu) and all Presenting Authors must be registered and paid by this date for their work to be considered.

PREBIC AA 2020 rules for submission

  • Abstracts must be submitted in English.
    All abstracts should be submitted and presented in clear English with accurate grammar and spelling of a quality suitable for publication. If you need help, please arrange for the review of your abstract by a colleague who is a native English speaker, by a university-specific publications office (or other similar facilities) or by a copy editor, before submission.
  • All abstracts must be submitted via the official Congress online submission system.
  • If after acceptance it is published, it can be presented but not as a top abstract.
  • The Presenting Author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract and agree to its submission, before submitting the abstract.
  • Presenting Authors must be registered participants. Only abstracts of authors who have paid their registration fees by May 28(Thu), 2020 will be scheduled for the presentation.
  • Submission of an abstract acknowledges your acceptance for the abstract to be published in the official conference publications.
  • Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest: the first author will be required to disclose any conflict of interest in the submission form.
  • Abstracts must be received by the announced deadline. Abstracts received after the deadline will not be considered.
  • Non-members can submit abstracts.

Peer review

  • All abstracts are anonymously peer-reviewed and scored then the Scientific Committee will determine whether the abstract will be accepted for presentation.

Abstract notification

  • You will be notified as to whether your abstract has been accepted in June 2020 on the official congress website. Full details, including the timing of your presentations, will be notified to accepted presenters at that time.

Guidelines for submission

Before you begin, please prepare the following information:

Co-authors’ details
Abstract Category – select the abstract category per the list of categories.
Presentation Type: Poster
Abstracts should clearly state:
 Background and aims
 Methods
 Results
 Conclusions
For Case report, it should clearly state:
 Background
 Case
 Conclusions
Abstract Title – limited to 20 words. Please submit symbols as words.
Body of Abstract - limited to 250 words including acknowledgments.
Use only standard abbreviations. Place special or unusual abbreviations in parentheses after the full word the first time it appears.
Use generic names of drugs. The presentation must be balanced and contain no commercial promotional content.
Submissions may not contain patient names, hospital ID numbers or other identifying information.
Click on the SUBMIT button at the end of the process to submit your abstract. You can make changes to your submitted abstract by the deadline. After the submission deadline abstracts cannot be modified or corrected.
Please do not submit multiple copies of the same abstract.
You will receive an abstract ID number via E-mail after you have submitted your abstract. Please refer to this abstract number in all correspondence regarding the abstract.
